Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 apple slices 1/8 inch thick (I like to use Granny Smith)
  • 1 oz grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 oz grated smoked gouda
  • 1 slice bacon cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 large sage leaves cut into thin ribbons
  • mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon according to package instructions until desired texture. Slice the apple on a mandolin or make thin round cuts starting from the end of the apple into the center. Cut Sage leaves into thin ribbons by rolling the leaves horizontally and then cutting strips.
  2. Place cheeses on the bread. Top with apple slices, bacon, and sage.
  3. Spread mayonnaise on outer sides of the bread for toasting.
  4. Cook on medium-low heat until lightly golden brown on each side and the cheese is all the way melted.
  5. Eat immediately and enjoy!
