Mexican Hot Chocolate

This Mexican Hot Chocolate is a warm hug on a cold winter day. Mexican Chocolate, cinnamon, spices, evaporated milk, and cream make for a rich treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 cup milk
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1.5 oz grated mexican chocolate bar (or 1 Taza chocolate disc)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 tsp ground, but this makes for a more gritty texture)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat whisk together, milk, cream, and condensed milk. Add in the cinnamon stick and allow to scald (steam releasing, and cinnamon steeping into milk mixture). About 5-10 minutes.
  2. Grate the chocolate straight into the milk mixture and mix until chocolate it melted.
  3. Enjoy it warm.
