Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 5 lemons)
- 3 cups water (add more if you prefer less sweet)
- 1 pound (or 3 cups) of fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1.5 cups mint simple syrup
- Ice, sliced strawberries, mint leaves, sliced lemons for garnish.
For the Mint Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 bunch fresh mint
Instructions
For the Simple Syrup:
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water, and mint stems. Place over medium heat, and cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat; let cool. Remove mint.
For the Lemonade:
- Puree strawberries and lemon juice in food processor or blender. Pour through a fine sieve into a bowl, discard pulp. Transfer to large pitcher.
- Mix together puree, water, syrup, ice and garnishes.
